Lennoxtown Training Centre

Lennoxtown training centre, the official training centre of Celtic Football Club, was officially opened in October 2007. Lennoxtown was designed to replace Celtic’s former training ground at Barrowfield (a short distance east of the club’s stadium Celtic Park in the east end of Glasgow). The complex is located on a 46-acre (190,000 m2) site near the Campsie Fells. The complex houses the club’s training and educational facilities.

Barrowfield Training Centre

Barrowfield was purchased by Celtic in the summer of 1959. It was used as the training ground for Celtic’s European Cup winning team under Jock Stein and remained the base for first team players until they moved to Lennoxtown in 2007.

Dedicated Coaching

At the Celtic FC Academy, coaches help players develop more than just their football skills! Their objective is to create a world class academy which produces the next generation of Champions League players. Everyone within the Academy is expected to live by our 4 principles which are:

The Celtic Youth Academy have enjoyed lots of success in giving young players the support and developing the skills required to become professional footballers.

SINCE 2000/01: 

  • 51 players have made the first team

  • 19 have played in the UEFA Champions League
  • 41 have become full internationals

About the Club

Celtic Football Club is a Scottish football club based in Glasgow, which plays in the Scottish Premier League.

Celtic have an impressive trophy haul consisting of:

Celtic’s stadium is Celtic Park, which is in the Parkhead area of Glasgow. Celtic Park. It is an all-seated stadium with a capacity of 60,832, which is the largest football stadium in Scotland and the seventh-largest stadium in the United Kingdom.
